Thom Singer | Keynote Speaker | Build Influence, Unlock Potential & Drive Performance
In a world consumed by digital shortcuts, creating meaningful influence in your business community matters more than ever before. Likes, links, shares and follows are not the answers to unlocking business potential. Human engagement is the key to success. Thom Singer brings decades of sales, marketing, and leadership experience to his keynote presentations and combines this with an entertaining storytelling style. He is committed to delivering strong content with specific actions items that will impact any business event or association convention. As a keynote speaker, Thom works to engage your audience while helping set the tone for the whole meeting. At corporate or association conferences he will set the tone for engagement between the participants at the event and beyond. He does more than speak and leave, but instead he participates as a member of the community you have created at your event – before, during, and after the presentation. KEYNOTES: - “The Paradox of Potential” Having “high potential” does not mean performing at maximum capability. While many believe they are doing all they can, a huge number of professionals are frustrated because they are coming up short of their personal expectations (and the expectations of others). Beyond excuses and finger pointing, this interactive presentation gets to the heart of how people can accomplish more and enjoy their work and how leaders can help their teams succeed. As more organizations focus on the “future of work”, this is about more than telecommuting and stand up desks. Illuminate the possibilities of goal setting, teamwork, successful human engagement, cross-selling, and other skills to help everyone reach their highest potential. Learning Objectives • Learn the reasons people say they are missing their potential • How to make the switch from “wishing” to “doing” • Gain clarity about plans, purpose and people and how they relate to your success • Discover the biggest limiting beliefs and how to circumvent them • How to lead your team over the gap between potential and results - In Real Life: Connecting With People in a Gadget Crazed World There is more to creating business relationships than a “like”, “link”, “share” or “follow”. While the popular social media tools can make it seem like we have countless friends and business associates, it is real human engagement that leads to opportunity. This program is designed as an opening keynote and will bring the audience focus back to the basics on establishing connections that will lead to more success in business, sales, and life. Make your event a human laboratory for connecting. Learning Objectives: • Learn how to make stronger business connections that will lead to opportunities • How to combine in-person networking and social media • Gain clarity in cultivating relationships and how to ask for referrals • Discover why your elevator pitch is not helping you network • How to get other in your company to work together to build your business brand Most people want to feel significant: at home, at work, in their community, etc…. But you cannot feel significant alone in a field. You need others. A person can fake success, but they cannot fake significance. Discovering what is important and interesting to other people is more important now than ever before. This program is designed to educate and inspire anyone to make relationships a priority while learning to lead and influence others. - Cooperative Significance Being and influential leader at work and beyond is something everyone desires, but leadership is more than a job title. Leading is about connecting with the people who you want to follow you. There is not way to be effective if you forget that every interaction you have is with another person. All people come into relationships with their own “stuff” and we must honor the entire person if we want them to be all that they can be at work and in life. Learning objectives: • Understanding exactly what it means to be significant. • How to connect with others at work. Professional relationships are not always the same as friendships, but there are similarities. • How to treat others in a manner that shows respect, even when you disagree • Why the way you are seen by others matters to your effectiveness. *** Thom Singer is also available to serve as the Master of Ceremonies for your event. His funny and interactive style was wildly popular with the group.
I had the pleasure of arranging to have Thom speak at two very different type of events. Thom presented at Stanton Chase’s Global Partners meeting, The ballroom at the Four Seasons hotel was filled with Partners and Senior Consultants from 38 different countries. Thom tailored his presentation to the executive search industry and the Partners found it to be impactful and entertaining. A year later, we still using the “take away” lessons we learned and talking about his engaging style. I also arranged to have Thom present to the Ivy+ Alumni groups of Austin at a Happy Hour networking event. He presented on using LinkedIn as part of your personal networking plan. His funny and interactive style was wildly popular with the group.
I would HIGHLY recommend Thom.
I am President of a medium sized construction company in Austin and I have struggled with finding and hiring the right speakers to educate and motivate our team members. We hired Thom for our company meetings at the end of 2017 and he did an extraordinary job with our team. I received more positive comments on Thom and his presentations that I have regarding any other speaker in the last 20 years. I would HIGHLY recommend Thom to anyone and I would be happy to speak with anyone personally about what made Thom such a special presenter for our team.
I am pleased to recommend Thom.
I am pleased to recommend Thom Singer for any association looking for an MC or Keynote that will customize a message, thread content and connect with your attendees. Thom served in both an MC and Keynote capacity for three years at PLM World (a STEM association). Each year, he added new stories and approaches, making his appearance new and compelling each year. We had a last minute snafu this year and we were left with no keynote. Thom did not hesitate and with only 15 minutes came to the rescue with 40 minutes of material that was relevant and even customized to our audience. I highly recommend Thom for your next MC or stand alone Keynote. If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me .
